Tryout FAQs.

Drills will be run to give the coaches a picture of your serving skills, passing skills, setting ability, lateral quickness, and hitting abilities. More importantly your ability and willingness to take instruction. Additionally, we focus on how each candidate handles the stress of game situations.

No player shall assume that they are guaranteed a spot on the club roster because they have played for West Valley Juniors in the past. The advantage for all past players is the fact that the coaches have seen you play in the past and will take that into consideration. Otherwise, every position on a team is earned at tryouts.

The final roster will be selected at the end of  the tryout session. A committee of our coaches will have input into each decision, with the final decision being the prerogative of the head coach and club director.  Each player will be asked if they are ready and willing to commit to playing for West Valley Juniors should they be chosen at the end of the session. Once chosen, each player will be required to submit the first $150 of their club dues.

        Code of Conduct & Waiver   - This form is part of Membership Registration form.
        Medical History form (CEVA) - This form is part of Membership Registration form.

2.  West Valley Jrs. Info sheet

3.  $10 tryout fee (cash preferred)

Directions for the Membership Registration Form (CEVA):

If you are a new member click on “NEW Junior players”
If you are already a member (played club last year) click on “RENEWING Junior player”
Follow the step by step instructions on the CEVA Web site. Once you have completed the membership registration on-line, print the “Membership Application Confirmation” and bring it to the tryout, along with the Code of Conduct and Waiver form (signed by parent and player), and the Medical History and Release form (signed by parent and player).

Note: When you register on-line, the registration form will refer to some fees. Fees that are listed on the registration form will NOT be paid on-line, these fees will be part of the club fees and will be collected by the club director after a player is selected on a team.
